About Us

Lisa Marie Riemen was born on March 7th, 1979. Lisa was born and raised in the McFarland, Wisconsin area along with her brother, Brett. They spent numerous hours enjoying their time on beautiful Lake Waubesa, which happens to be one of the places Chad and Lisa spend a great deal of time. Lisa attended McFarland High School and graduated in 1997. Shortly after graduating, she gave birth to her daughter, Kayla. With her new bundle of joy by her side, she began attending MATC to pursue her degree in Accounting. Lisa finished her Associate in Accounting and began using her skills at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. She was hired on as an administrative assistant while attending college and has worked her way up to become the Office Manager. There is never a dull day in Lisa's work life or home life. Between working out, working, being a mom and a wife-to-be, Lisa NEVER has trouble keeping busy. During the winter months you can find her attending Kayla's basketball games or Chads! Between the two of them, she has basketball coming out of her ears! She also enjoys snow skiing and even playing kickball on the ice @ Christys Landing!! Summer is Lisa's favorite time of the year, where she enjoys spending time on the lake with her friends and family followed by a campfire to end the night just right!

Chad Michael Paley was born on June 12th, 1979. Chad was born and raised in the Platteville, Wisconsin area along with older brother, Jim and younger sister, Lisa. Chad spent much of his childhood exploring the outdoors with his brother and neighborhood friends. Chad's younger years were filled with many different sporting events. If it involved competition, Chad was involved in it. Many of Chad's closest friendships were developed on some type of playing field. Chad attended Platteville High School and graduated in 1997. During his high school years, Chad participated at least one year in basketball, football, baseball, wrestling, and golf. Chad certainly didn't break any records or impress too many people but he will never forget the lifelong friendships he formed with teammates. After graduation, Chad attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to major in Elementary Education. During college, Chad worked at various construction jobs (mostly with Michael's Masonry), as a bartender, and even on the Siegert dairy farm. Chad accepted an internship in McFarland during his final semester of college and then graduated in May of 2002. Following graduation, Chad was lucky enough to find a second grade teaching position with the McFarland School District. Chad remains in the position today. Since 2002, Chad had completed his Masters of Education program through the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (2006). He has also participated in coaching both basketball and football. Chad continues to work in the construction field as much as possible and even started his own small business, Chad Paley Construction, this year.

Where it all started... In September of 2005, Chad was preparing for his first day of class with a new group of second grade students. Into the classroom came an extremely bright, well mannered little girl. Not only was Chad impressed by this girl, but her mother's looks were impossible to ignore. Kayla went on to have an unbelievable year in second grade and continues to impress her entire family on a daily basis. Following Kayla's second grade year, Chad was able to muster up enough courage to ask Kayla's mom out on that "all important" first date. Chad and Lisa decided not to tell Kayla about their newly developed relationship at first just to get a better feel for where it was going to go. However, Kayla's too darn smart and figured it out in a matter of weeks. A matter of fact, her exact words were, "Mom, are you dating my teacher?"

As they say... the rest is history.

Our Proposal

Chad and Lisa were engaged at the top of beautiful Copper Mountain in Colorado on April 1st, 2009. Yep... April Fool's Day! It wasn't intentional, that just happened to be the first time Chad was able to get Lisa alone on the slopes. The exact location was at a hillside chapel where we traditionally attend service at on Sunday mornings when we are in Colorado. We returned the following day with the rest of the clan for a few pictures.

Wedding Party

A little bit about our wedding party...

BRIDESMAIDS

Junior Bridesmaid: Kayla Riemen
Where do I start? There is SO much to say about my #1 girl! Kayla is my 12 year old daughter - who some mistake as my sister!! She doesn't like it when they confuse us for sisters -however, I could get used to that!! :) Kayla has been an inspiration to me since the day she was born. She is the #1 driving factor for my continous desire to grow and succeed in this world! Kayla is beginning to enter the adolesence stage, needless to say, things are getting interesting.... I distinctly remember my mother telling me, "you're going to have a daughter just like you someday!" Well, I think the someday has arrived!! Thanks a lot Mom! :) Kayla continues to impress Chad and I on a daily basis. Just the other day, she casually told us that she received 1st place in the 6th Grade Spelling Bee!! She is an excellent student and is always up for a challenge. Kayla brings us so much joy and we love watching her grow and try new things - although it can be painful at times! Especially when she started playing the trumpet..... She is an active child and participates in basketball, volleyball and softball. She's becoming quite the McFarland Spartan!

Maid of Honor: Jamie Nondorf
Jamie and Lisa met during a football game that their men were coaching a few years ago. It was a rainy night and they were both sitting under their umbrellas in the empty visitors section @ the Verona High School. They are such dedicated fans - let's hope their men realize this!! From that moment on, their relationship has blossomed into a beautiful friendship! Now that they are both engaged Jamie helps keep Lisa on track with all the wedding details! Who knew there would be SO much to do!! Jamie and Lisa attend bootcamp together in McFarland - they push eachother to continuously get up @ 5:00am to work out! Some say they're crazy....that's yet to be determined! The girls enjoy sampling new wines and discovering new restaurants to visit - they never forget to bring along their finances`..........someone needs to pay the bill!

Bridesmaid: Toni McDonough
Toni and Lisa met in 4th grade and they've been friends ever since! They've survived everything from teaching eachother how to drive to holding eachother's hair while hovering over the "throne!" They've been through so much, and through it all - they've had eachother. Toni and Lisa were born 2 days apart and were in the same nursery together at St. Mary's Hospital! They must have made a plan to cross paths someday! They celebrate their birthdays together just about every year! It ends up being a LONG birthday celebration for the both of them. The girls have enjoyed their "all girls" trips and have made memories that will last a lifetime. They are looking forward to "growing up" together and continuing to make more wonderful memories along the way.

Bridesmaid: Jessica Quandt
Jessica and Lisa met during their Kindergarden class way back in 1984! Wow - that seems like a LONG time ago! Now Chad teaches in that same school - how ironic! Their friendship has been one that has endured throughout their school age days and into adulthood! Jessica and Lisa have made many wonderful memories in the last 26 years and continue to do so. Growing up, they spent many nights at the bowling alley while their parents bowled on a league. They managed to stay out of trouble......or at least avoid getting caught! Today, they enjoy getting together and reminicing about the past while making new memories.

Bridesmaid: Heather Kieta
Heather and Lisa became step-sisters after their parents FINALLY decided to get married after 17 years of dating!!! Holy cow - is that cold feet or what! :) Heather has been there for Lisa throughout all the good and bad boyfriends. When Lisa brought home Chad to introduce to the family - Heather didn't hold back and told Lisa that he was a keeper! Apparently, she knew what she was talking about! Heather and Lisa enjoy spending time together with their families at Nani's" house. Heather is married to Dave and together they have two children, Carsen and Finley. Lisa enjoys spending time with her "little rascals" and offers to babysit anytime she's available!

Bridesmaid: Leslie Riemen
Leslie is Lisa's sister-in-law. Brett, Lisa's brother, married Leslie and they have started a family together. Currently, they have 2 girls, Kendall and Talia. Lisa loves spending time with the little ones and is very fortunate to have them living so close! Leslie and Lisa enjoy spending time together with the family at Nani's house. They also enjoy spending time together on beautiful Lake Waubesa during the summer months and Copper Mountain Colorado during the winter months! Leslie isn't much of a Snow Bunny, but she's quite the trooper!

Bridesmaid: Lisa Paley
Lisa Paley is Chad's younger sister and Lisa's soon to be sister-in-law. Lisa Paley resides in Milwaukee with her two dogs, Rogue and Echo. Lisa is looking forward to being a part of the "Paley" family and gaining a new sister-in-law! Lisa Paley recently got engaged to David, so the two of them will be exchanging LOTS of wedding ideas and suggestions. They are both looking forward to their upcoming weddings and spending time with their families and friends.

GROOMSMEN

Best Man: Logan Swart
Logan has been Chad's best friend since middle school. They met during youth sports prior to even participating themselves because their brothers were on the same team. They have continued to stay close even as the amount of miles between them has grown. It has been great since Logan moved a little bit closer this past year and even though they don't get together as much as they would like, they both take advantage of the time when they do get together.

Groomsman: Jim Paley
Jim has been with Chad from the start, literally. It started off with Jim being the bigger brother, buddies one minute and butt-kicking the next. It has grown into the bigger brother that is always being there when needed and always being unselfish to help out in any way he can.

Groomsman: Kevin "Dimples" Garvoille
Chad met Kevin a couple of years ago through coaching in McFarland. They instantly developed a friendship that was easy for everyone to see. There haven't been too many days the last two years when Chad and Kevin haven't seen each other or at least exchanged a phone call or text.

Groomsman: Brett Riemen
Brett has been with Lisa from the start, literally. He has always been there for little sister even though it may not have always seemed like it. Lisa even looked up to "big brother" so much that she would remove her shirt for a ballgame with the boys. It didn't seem fair to Lisa when Sharon would insist she put it back on. Just didn't seem fair! Chad has enjoyed getting to know Brett well over the last couple of years too. They love getting together to play cards or spend an afternoon on the water with the boys.

Groomsman: Tony "Monkey" Steinhart
Chad and Tony have been great friends since high school. Tony is the guy that always puts everyone else first. He is the most unselfish friend a person could ask for. Chad and Tony lived together in college and spent numerous nights together trying to solve all the world's problems. Luckily for everyone, they are still trying!

Groomsman: Doug Siegert
Doug and Chad also lived together during college with the rest of the clan on Cedar Street. The house simply wouldn't have been the same without Doug. He always had a way to lighten the mood and put a smile on every face in the house (too bad not many could fit). Wherever Doug happens to be, everyone is guaranteed to have a good time. Luckily for all of us, he'll be at the wedding.

Usher: Wes "Chops" Ingersoll
Wes and Chad have been friends since middle school and the youth sport days. Wes is always good for a laugh and does a great job of organizing "excuses" for all of us to get together. Everyone will be able to pick Wes out at the wedding. He'll be the one with the Bubba Keg.

Usher: Eric "Merle" Klein
Eric and Chad have been friends since the high school days and continued get to know each other better through college and up to today. Chad and Eric really got to spend time together once Eric made the move to Madison. Chad and Lisa are very lucky to have Eric and Steph just a few blocks away.

Usher: Dave Kieta
Dave is Lisa's brother-in-law and has been a lot of fun to get to know the last several years. Dave is the most down to Earth guy you will ever meet. Chad and Dave have enjoyed watching games together while enjoying a cocktail. Chad and Dave took their new friendship to the next level last winter when they decided to "save a little money" and cut out the concrete for the new bar in the Kieta's basement. They survived it without killing each other and more importantly the bar is serving and the drain always works.

Usher: Josh Jenkins
Josh and Chad have been friends since high school as well. Their friendship even goes back as far as middle school when Chad spent a couple of summer days working on the Jenkins' family farm. I don't know if I would call it work, or trying to get the six-wheeler stuck in the mud. Either way, we had a fun time doing it. Over the past couple of years, Chad has worked for Josh during the summer months completing several construction projects. As good of friends as they are, it may not always seem that way at work. That being said, they always get the job done.
